15 month well baby apt.

We drove to Stillwater yesterday for Jaxxi 15 month and appointment. She weighs 19 lbs and 13 oz so she has only gained 13oz in two months that put her in the 9th percentile for weight. she measured in at 30 inches. which put her in the 36th percentile for height. She is a little petite girl that eats like a horse! She still hasn't walked or even attempted much of walking, We have been watching her hips and feet since she was about 6 months old. I asked again at this visit if it was all still a wait and see game and Dr. E decided we probably should go ahead with a referral to a pediatric orthopedist. So we are waiting on a call from OU to get everything set up. He's thinking everything will be fine but if she needs intervention of any kind we need to go a head and get things moving. That's about all that's new this month. She is working very hard on her motor skills and she has master climbing!

Our cowgirl!

Jaxxi LOVES horses! As soon as we seen how much she enjoyed it we decided to sign her up for playdays at the the Beggs Round Up Club... She has done lead line for two weeks and the only time she is upset is when we make her get off:) I see lots more of this in our future!

I love my little cowgirl!

Walk a mile...

This past Saturday Jaxxi, my sister Kassie, my cousin Jennifer and her daughter Madison all went with me to OKC for a foster care walk put on by Lifechurch.tv. I had just found it online through a website called okfoster.com they do the walk to raise awareness of how many kids are in a desperate situation and need Christians to get on board. Open their homes and help these children. They were also accepting donations of luggage because most kids in care only have a trash sack to carry all there belongings around in.

Some of the luggage that was brought.

I will be the first to admit that adopting or fostering through DHS wasn't even on my radar until we found out we couldn't have kids on our own. Then God started opening my heart up to his plan A for our lives. Is it all glamorous? No! But there are so many kids who just need love. I would encourage you to just at least pray about how God could use you in some way to help these kids. Even if it's not full time care in your home.

May is foster care awareness month. I challenge you to think about what it would mean to walk around in one of these children's shoes.

It's a party at the pool :)

Last week we got Jaxxi's pool out the Easter bunny brought her :)

She wasn't so sure right at first!

Getting her hands a little wet!

Splishing and splashing!

Letting our pup Huck give her a kiss lol!

She loved to splash around and did not want to get out! I see a lot more pool days in our future! :)
