Cayson's First hair cut!

I haven't posted anything since you were 4 months old! Didn't mean for that to happen! On your 8th month birthday you got your very first hair cut!

Cayson 4 months

I didn't get his 4 month pictures done until 2 weeks before he turned 5 months but better late than never! ;)

At your 4 month well baby you were

14 lbs

You are so happy all the time! Since we got your formula all straightened out you only fuss when it's time to eat!

We did try some rice cereal out of a spoon. you did pretty well. I'm not going to get real serious until you are six months old.


You are bringing your hands to your mouth constantly! You can take your bink out and put it back in.

You like to snuggle on the dog to the right of the above picture.

You sleep from about 8:30 p.m. to 5:30-6:30 just long enough to drink a bottle then you fall right back asleep till about 8:30.



this picture cracks me up! you are doing your new squeak thing! you love to squeak and yell. It's so funny! You are most talkative in the mornings.

You have lost a lot of hair! And we have an old man hair style situation happening :)

You love your sister and she loves you! She tries to help momma take care of you. She tells me when your crying and tries to help feed you.


This picture pretty much sums you up baby boy. You have the best smile that lights up your whole face. We love you sooo much!!

Preston Wiley Craig

Like the rest of my sister pregnancy Preston arrival wasn't without hardship! We found out my sister had developed an illness called acute fatty liver in pregnancy, it's very serious and we are very thankful we didn't lose her and Preston. She still has a long road a head of her but every day seems to get a little better.

Sunday Funday on the lake :)

A couple of Sundays ago we met up with the Allen crew and had a fun day on the lake :)

We had to cut our day a little short b/c it started storming on us. It's been one crazy July here in Oklahoma lots of rain and cooler temps. I'm not complaining though I hate the heat!

Right Where I Am 4 yrs. 4 months 9 days

I decided to participate in a project called Right Where I Am where baby-loss parents are asked to write about where they were in their grief. And it also is about how "wherever you are, it is right". We were asked to only talk about the present moment in our grief, not yesterday, or tomorrow, but how we were feeling today. We were instructed to title the piece with Right Where I Am: followed by the time since our child died.

First off I can't believe it's been over 4 yrs since I got kiss his face. Today I'm feeling a little reflective. Today is the day that would have Jaxxon due date. Fourth of July has been hard ever since that first year. We were looking forward to our last holiday as a family of two and we would be welcoming our baby boy, maybe even before that July 4th. So every year as I watch the fireworks, it reminds me of my sweet baby boy. My sister is 29 weeks pregnant and had a little scare last weekend. I went to the same hospital that Jaxxon was born at with her. They admitted her over night and has we were going to her L&D room we passed a door with a white lily flower picture on it. My heart immediately restricted. I wanted to knock on the door and give that mother a great big hug, and cry with her. Any time I hear of someone going through the same thing we did over four years ago. My heart just breaks, I know what a long uphill battle it is just to get up some mornings. Most days it seems like a dream. I hate that people were right when they say time heals all. I wouldn't say it's something that can be healed, but I can say that you can go on and actually "live" and not just get by everyday. After 4 years and two kids the pain is so much different. I just wish that he could be here to play with his sister and brother. I still often wonder who he would be. So where I am in my grief it's different everyday, but today I'm missing my sweet Jaxxon so much. And can't wait till I can hug and tell him how much I love him face to face.

We went to Branson last week for a family vacation with Shanes parents and my sis and bro in-law and their kiddos. We left our two with my parents b/c they are both to little for silver dollar city which was the main reason we were going. Anyway Shane has been wanting to get Jaxxi's name tattooed on him ever since she was adopted so what better time than vacation. :)

It turned out really good!

Well ever since we lost Jaxxon, we had talked about getting a tattoo to remember him by. Shane got his in December 2009 and well I have just been a chicken about it. And I had to work through if I felt like I wanted something on me FOREVER! Well I finally just bit the bullet. It turned out really good and I think I'm glad I did it. :) He was never far from my mind, but know I can be reminded of what all I've been through and how blessed my life is now.

I got it on my wrist and asked for them to do it as small as they could:)

Me and Tish have been saying we are going to go together and get a tattoo! Well we finally got our chance :) We all went out to eat before we took the plunge. Honestly I can't believe I didn't chicken out!

She got 26.2 for marathon's she has ran and the two hearts are for each one she has ran. as she runs more she can add hearts to it.

I'm pretty certain that this was my first and last tattoo experience :)
